How to get an acount

Click on the NEW USER link.  Fill out the form.  Make sure you use your real 
email address as your password will be emailed to you.


Forgot your password?

Make sure you're logged out.  Click on the EMAIL PASSWORD link.  Enter your 
username and click on the button.


Changing your password

Log in.  Click on the MODIFY INFO link.  Type your password in twice and click 
on the button.


Changing your email

Log in.  Click on the MODIFY INFO link.  Type your new password in and click on
the button.


Stop sending me spam!

Log in.  Click on the MODIFY INFO link.  Uncheck the appropriate checkbox.  
Click on the button to save your changes.


How do I get a copy of every post emailed to me?

Log in.  Click on the MODIFY INFO link.  Check the proper checkbox.  Click on 
the button.  This will also send NOTES to you.


Saving your login

Getting tired of entering your username and password each time?  The next 
time you log in, check the SAVE checkbox before you click the LOGIN button.


Submitting your portrait

Use this link to submit portraits to the archive.

First of all, a portrait has to be less than 5,000 bytes in size.  The software
won't allow you to upload anything bigger.  Second, it has to be a JPG file.

An editor will review your submission and decide if it's something he wants in
the archive.

For some reason, some people get really upset when their portraits are rejected.
Some of these people have written nasty emails.  Keep in mind what the portrait
archive would look like if we allowed everything, it would be so full of crap
that you couldn't find anything good.  Portrait editing is a necessary evil.

There are several reasons for rejecting a portrait: it's dimensions are not 110
pixels wide by 170 pixels tall (We've rejected many excellent portraits because
of this); it's appeal is too narrow, nobody but you would use it; it's of poor 
quality, either it has jpg waver, it's blurry, or it's distorted; it's already 
in the archive; or it's pornographic (We got children using the site.)

We favor dipictions of people rather than photos of actual real-live people.

Portraits destined for those categories that have few portraits have a better
chance of being accepted.  For example,  a fantasy male portrait would have to 
be pretty darn good for us to accept it because we have a bunch of them.

Log in, click on SUBMIT PORTRAIT.  On the form that appears, select the categories 
that your portrait fits under.   Click on the BROWSE button.  Find the portrait on 
your PC.  Click on the SUBMIT button.  It might take a week or two for us to review it.
